On successful completion of a training course, the candidate will receive an NVQ Certificate or Diploma or a Card/Ticket as appropriate.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is the official organisation that governs the training standards for mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs.) This would include machinery such as booms, scissors, 1b, 3a and 3b category
mast climbing, work platforms and construction hoists. This essential training underpins the safety and legal requirements for the use of such mechanics.
The courses last 1-2 days and will include either a theory or eLearning session followed by a practical assessment. The majority of these courses will qualify you for a PAL Card.
PAL cards are required for any individuals who work at a height and who use powered access platforms to carry out their jobs.
CPCS Training
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) is in place to verify the skills and competencies of plant operators. It is the most widely recognised industry card demonstrating compliance with codes of practice. If you are working in the construction
industry in the UK then it’s very likely that you will need a CPCS card.
The Red Trained Operator Card is issued on successful completion of the CPCS Theory and Practical Technical Tests. The card is valid for 2 years and is non-renewable. In order to upgrade to the Blue Competent Operator Card, you must undertake a relevant NVQ within two years of receiving your Red Operator Card. Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
A 2-day course, suitable for anyone who has supervisory responsibilities within the construction industry. It educates supervisor level personnel of the legal responsibilities of their role with regards to health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
A 5-day course for anyone who has or is planning to operate in a site managerial role. The course equips you with a better understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation at managerial level with practical guidance on how to implement best practice guidelines.
